Maramiyya Group has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Ministry of Education(MOE), to distribute OLPC laptops with every book list under free text books program.

Maramiyya chief CEO has signed a major deal to buy 60,000 OLPC laptops (comps) from the One Laptop Per Child Foundation. Nicholas Negroponte, founder of the OLPC project, announced the deal over the weekend in an interview with BBC, adding that chief CEO had ordered 1,000 units for personal use alone as well.
